Laurie.......... i made little some sponge pants.......... shes had them on most of the last week but shes getting sore legs.......... i tried taking them off but shes still crap at walking......... think im gonna try the micro pore tape thing...........

On a brighter note.................. BIG FLEW............!!!! he can do little flights with dan running after him to catch him if he crashes

i need to do this weeks photo shoot...... im a bit late...!!!!

oh well thats no good..I had the same problem with one of mine, but if you put a topical ointment on the legs too & wrap something soft around the leg where it rubs, that does help..I used to take the sponge off 3 times a day & rub some ointment on the sore area, it heals up nicely & while the sponge is off, hold the hips together where it draws the legs in & that helps too..sometimes its a real pain in the butt.. that the tape works!!!!

oh yeah ..... Micropore tape was bit of a nightmare...... so made fatter pants... i only have thin foam and its a bit soft so taped it together .....only she seems to have found out how to take them off the little minx.........!!!! i might have to make some more with smaller leg holes..... !!! think its working tho.......

Laurie thats my old film camera..... its a Canon AV-1 i bought it when id just left school in the ... eherm early 80's... i worked all summer to earn the 110 quid it cost.... it lets light in somewhere now tho so need to get it looked at when i can... but its been everywhere with me since i got it ..... so its done me well...!!

Im a little concerned about Little ...... not about her legs today .......but............ i noticed Petal was chewing feathers i thought they were hers but i just saw her pull one out of little...then Jimmy did it too.......then i noticed there was several feathers round her that had been pulled out... so i told them off and took her into protective custody... on my desk... but thats mean.... i dont know why they are doing it..... ?????

Yeah she sounds like shes gonna lay again & trying to get little to fledge the nest!! I would pull Little out & put her in a cage separate, or they will continue to peck & pluck her the poor little baby!

Thanks for the info me luvs..... The fluffs are now just in the cage with mum n dad banana... i was putting them back in the nest box at night but i stopped doing that now. Little was on the perch this morning so shes getting more mobile.... and i havent seen anymore plucking in the last few days.....

Petal n Jimmy have been mating again....... but Petals not really been in the nest box ...... Jimmy is still feeding everyone.....and theyre all getting fat..... except him

Prety sure Big is a boy n i think Little might be too

Awwwwwhhh! They're gorgeous! I can't seem to get my Gracey and Grumper to breed. They keep getting in the box but so far, not a single egg. Pair of numptys!

hey guys...... an update on Petal n Jimmy's prolific need to reproduce............. they hatched 3 more in january ..... and petal started to lay a clutch of 10 more eggs while they were still in the nest box 5 of these have now hatched..... i now have 13 kakarikies of different sizes.....

They're doing really well! Are you keeping this latest lot? There are gajillions of them!

They are gorgeous..... id love to keep them all ...but i cant.... sh*t i have 13 now...!!!!!!! Dave was named by my friend as shes having him.... think they will be ready to go soon as they are feeding themselves a bit now... n all flying really well .... ive just got leg rings delivered i got plastic split ones and closed rings.... but even the little babies were to big to get them on now so they all have the numbered plastic rings....... George .... if you want Big Baby .... he has to go :( and hes very similar to Dave you can even give him a proper name lol...... like Pete or Stan or Mike or something ;) he will take sunflower seeds off me and would prob get quite tame with more time spent with him...... the latest lot will have to go too ... think there will just be the 5 of them had a couple of exploded stinky eggs yesterday n 2 left which prob wont hatch now....... they are growing really fast now n i think im gonna have to take the nest box off to give petal n jimmy a rest after they leave the box.
