| Awwwwwhh! The poor thing. Look's like he's broken that wing, or maybe he has some muscle damage or something. Hopefully as he gets bigger, the other magpies should leave him alone. Is there any way you could catch him and take him to a wildlife rescue or somewhere similar? A friend of mine found a young blackbird with a similar wing problem and gave it to me - my local vet refused to treat it so it lived in my aviary! The magpies in australia are much different looking to our english magpies. I think I prefer yours though! | |

| Well, I guess if he's fit enough to run away he must be doing pretty good! Meal worms are perfect to feed him, they're a good source of energy for wild birds - much better than bread and old biscuits and cake and stuff a lot of people put out. They'd be too fattening for your magpie seeing as he can't fly... He'd never get off the ground! I expect his little songs are him saying thankyou! He probably couldn't survive without your help. | |
