| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seems as though the pyrrhura conures are into nesting early again this season. I used to count on eggs Christmas or after! So far we have the following sitting eggs: Crimson bellies Pearlies greencheeks blue greencheeks bluethroats have 3 chicks and maroon-bellies have 5 chicks so far out of 8 fertile eggs also the painteds look very interested in their nestbox too. So here we go again | |

| Well I'd better not count my chicks before they hatch but painteds are spending a long time in their nestbox nowadays, the crimsons have 4 eggs (saw them this morning) and just to make it even more complicated, the cinnamons are eating carrot like it's going out of fashion!! which often happens before birds go to nest................ Watch this space .............................. | |

| O.K. so we have SEVEN baby maroon-bellies hatched out of 8 eggs - not bad, no complaints there. I have 3 of the elder ones indoors already so that the parents don't have to try and keep all 7 warm in the nest in this awful freezing weather. We are getting 0 & below every ; night (last night was -3). Anyway here are the first pics of the elder two: | |
